Top 10 sporting events in London for March 2018

NFL in LondonMost of the sport this month is soccer based, although there is the famous Cambridge, Oxford Boat race also taking place this month. Listed below are the top events taking place in London, so have a good look and see if anything catches your eye. No. 1. 3rd March 2018 “Premier League Football Tottenham Hotspurs v Huddersfield Town” at Wembley Stadium. Important game for both teams, Spurs need a win to keep them in the top four of the league, and Huddersfield are fighting to try and get out of the relegation zone. Spurs will be favourites to win but being at Wembley there is always the chance Huddersfield could pull off a surprise result. Kickoff is at 15.00 pm. No. 2. 5th March 2018 “ Premier League Football Crystal Palace v Manchester United” at Selhurst Park. Great chance to see Jose Mourinho’s men in London.   United still far behind their rivals Manchester City to have any chance of winning the league they will still be trying their hardest to finish second, and that won’t be easy with Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs breathing down their necks. Crystal Palace also need the points to avoid relegation.     Kick-off is at 20.00 pm .

No. 3. 7th March 2018 “Champions League Football Last 16 Second round Tottenham Hotspurs v Juventus” at Wembley Stadium. Big game for Tottenham this will be the second leg of this round of the Champions league. Tottenham need a win to guarantee a chance of going through to the next Stage. They will of course be looking to Harry Kane to provide the goals, and at the moment the striker is on fire. Kickoff is at 19.45 pm . No.4. 10th March 2018 “Premier League Football Chelsea v Crystal Palace” at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea should take all 3 points but Crystal Palace may still pull off a surprise. Kick-off is at 17.30 pm

No.5. 11th March 2018 “Premier League Football Arsenal v Watford” at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal are a little unpredictable at the moment so Watford may be able to get some kind of result here.   Kick-off is at 13.30 pm

No.6. 16th March 2018 “Premier League Football Tottenham Hotspurs v Newcastle United” at Wembley Stadium. Newcastle have recently had some good results, but can they get anything at Wembley, or will it be just too much to face the inform Tottenham, and their very own goal scoring machine “ Harry Kane”. Kick-off is at 20.00 pm

No.7. 18th March 2018 “Premier League Football West Ham United v Manchester United” at the London Stadium. Manchester United are back in London to face West Ham. Can the home team take home advantage and get a win? Well anything is possible, but my money is 3 points to the Reds. Kick-off is at 13.30 pm . . No.8. 21st March 2018 “Premier League Football Arsenal v West Ham United” at the Emirates Stadium. A good old London Derby. Who will win? Arsenal has home advantage, so you would expect them to take the points. Kick-off is at 15.00 pm

No.9.  24th March 2018 “Rugby Union Saracens v Harlequins” at the London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.   Kick-off is at 15.00 pm.

No.10. 24th March 2018 “The Cancer Research UK Oxford and Cambridge Boat Races”. Watch crews from Oxford and Cambridge universities battle it out on the Thames during The Cancer Research UK Men’s Boat Race and The Cancer Research UK Women’s Boat Race. One of the biggest free sporting spectacles in London, The Boat Race creates a festival atmosphere on the banks of the river Thames. Up to 250,000 people flock to the riverbanks every year to join in the celebrations and watch the Oxford University and Cambridge University eight-oared rowing boats race along the famous 4.2-mile (6.8km) Championship Course between Putney and Mortlake. The Women’s Boat Race begins at 16.31pm, followed by The Men’s Boat Race an hour later at 17.31pm.
