Top 10 sporting events in London for November 2018

Such a varied amount of sport this month. Often we concentrate on Soccer but this month there is such a variety of sport on offer, their should be something for everyone. No. 1. 2nd and 9th November 2018 “WWE Live – Wrestlemania Revenge” at SSE Arena , Wembley. The ultimate in ‘sports entertainment’ as the real deal WWE superstars of US wrestling bring the pain to the UK. No. 2. 2nd November 2018 “Ultimate Boxxer II” at Indigo, at the O2. After an explosive Ultimate Boxxer debut at the Manchester Arena earlier this year, the fast-paced and hard-hitting event touches down in London. The second edition of the tournament sees the spotlight turn to the light heavyweight division, with eight highly rated British boxers squaring off to achieve their career changing or defining moment. Entrants include Joel McIntyre, who will enter the tournament with an expected English title, the controversial John McCallum; 7-time national champion at amateur level with only one loss on his pro-record coming through injury. The unbeaten 6’6” Shakan Pitters represents Birmingham and Dec Spelman returns to his biggest stage yet following his tragic fight with the late Scott Westgarth.

No. 3. 6th November 2018 “Champions League: Tottenham Hotspur Vs PSV Eindhoven” at Wembley Stadium. Tottenham need to win this match, as their last Champions league fixtures have produced very little in the way of a victory. Kick-off is at 20.00 pm.

No.4. 8th November 2018 “EUFA Europa League: Arsenal Vs Sporting Lisbon” at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal will hope to get a win out of this game as this is a competition they believe they can win. Kick-off is at 20.00 pm.

No.5. 10th November 2018 “Muay Thai Grand Prix / KGP” at Indigo, at the O2. Muay Thai Grand Prix presents a world class night of Muay Thai. In the main event the “Baby Faced Assassin” Carlton Lieu will return to defend his MTGP belt after his successful defence in America, his opponent to be announced shortly. Also on the card is “Pretty Killer” Iman Barlow defending her world title and Evan “Boy Wonder” Jays steps up to face Italian Gianopiero Sportelli for the vacant MTGP 55kgs World Title. MTGP will have its first European Title when Michael Pham takes on Dale Hughes for the 67kgs title. Kickboxing Grand Prix European Champion Luke Whelan will step up for the 68kgs World Title with an international opponent to be announced soon. A fight that could be the fight of the night will be Sarah Worsfold vs Manchester’s Niamh Kinehan for the ladies 64.5 KGP World Title. Other fighters on the card will be Grace Spicer, Sean O Neill and many more.

No.6. 11th to 18th November 2018 “Nitto ATP Finals 2018” at The O2. Last year’s gripping final saw Grigor Dimitrov beat David Goffin 7–5, 4–6, 6–3 to take the title for the first time. The Nitto ATP Finals moved to London in 2009. Using a round robin format, players compete in a minimum of three matches each during the group stages as they aim for a berth in the knockout semi-finals. Each session includes one world-class doubles match, which sets the stage for a Top 8 singles clash. Check national press or Nitto web site nearer the time to find out which players have qualified for this year’s event. Ticket price: £13 to £150. No.7. 11th November 2018 “Barclays ATP World Tour Finals” at O2 Arena. A chance to see some of the top players and doubles teams of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) compete in the end of season championships.

No.8. 17th November “Bare Knuckle Boxing- BKB14 at The O2. Champions from MMA and gloved boxing take the gloves off for knockout action provided by the only legal sanctioned bare knuckle boxing company in the world.

No.9. 24th November 2018 “Premier League: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Chelsea” at White Hart Lane. Tottenham hope this will be their first home game at their brand new stadium. This will be a very exciting event. A London derby between two top Premiership teams playing in a brand new stadium. Spurs will want to win this to show their fans that this is the start of a new era. Kick-off is at 17.30 pm.

No.10. 28th November 2018 “Champions League: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Inter Milan” at Wembley Stadium. Hopefully Spurs can do a bit better than the last time these two teams met as they need to win this game to have any chance of carrying on in the competition. Kick-off is at 20.00 pm.
