This month there is lots of special events to enjoy the biggest being the famous Notting Hill Carnival. With the start of the soccer season starting this month there are also some good soccer matches to watch. Hop on your bike and join Prudential RideLondon, a world-class festival of cycling in London.

The next Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle will take place on Saturday 1st August 2015 and the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 and Surrey Classic will take place on the Sunday.

Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle offers a brilliant opportunity to get the whole family together to experience the fun and freedom of cycling on traffic-free roads in central London.

The route will feature many of the capital’s world-famous landmarks, from Buckingham Palace in the west to the Tower of London in the east via the Houses of Parliament and St Paul’s. London’s greatest sights will create an inspiring backdrop for a memorable day of cycling.

Sunday 2nd August 2015 Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100

Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved.

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

Notting Hill Carnival 2015 Dates and Times:

The carnival weekend kicks off on the Saturday night with Panorama, a free open-air concert involving a steel band competition at Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park, from 6pm until 10pm.

Sunday at The Notting Hill Carnival is Family Day. It kicks off with J’Ouvert, a fun opening with dance, drummers and steel bands from 6am until 9am. The Sunday Parade gets under way at 10am and continues until 8.30pm. There are many things to do at Notting Hill Carnival on Family Day, from family workshops at Emslie Horniman Pleasance Park and the costume prize awards, to music at the 38 sound systems dotted around the Notting Hill Carnival route.

Bank Holiday Monday sees the main parade. In the evening, the floats leave the streets in procession and people continue the festivities at the many Notting Hill Carnival after-parties.
