London is still a little quiet at the moment so if you are thinking of coming now is a great time, you are sure to pick up a good deal both on flights and accommodation. Once you have arrived there is still lots of things to see and do, especially if you are into sport, this month there will be the first soccer cup final at Wembley, so if you want to experience the atmosphere of a real English cup final now will be your chance. No 1.   1st March “Capital One Cup Final: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Chelsea” at Wembley Stadium.

First Cup Final of the season. What a final this will be a real London Derby by two of the capitals top teams. Spurs just a few weeks ago slaughtered Chelsea at Whitehart Lane this was one of the most exciting games so far this season, with a final score of 5 v 3 . Chelsea will definitely be looking to get there revenge, but with Spurs flying at the moment can they spoil Chelsea’s party and give them another thrashing. Whatever happens this will be a game not to miss and there should be lots of goals if the last match was anything to go by.

No 2. 1st and 31st March “Lionel Richie” at The O2

Celebrate the career of a true music legend, as Lionel Richie brings his European tour, All the Hits All Night Long, to The O2 for two nights only. With five Grammy awards under his belt and somewhere in the region of 100 million albums sold, the slick performer is showing no signs of letting up as he makes a welcome return to the UK. His shows are often described as being more like giant parties than traditional concerts, with crowds uniting to sing along with the great man as he belts out hit after hit. Not one to shy away from his vast and enviable back catalogue, audiences can expect to be treated to all the old favourites, including the likes of Three Times a Lady, All Night Long and Dancing on the Ceiling. No. 3. 7th to 8th March “Country to Country 2015” at the O2 Arena

Country to Country sees some of the biggest names in the business heading across the Atlantic for a huge two-day music festival extravaganza. Prices: Adult Ticket:£73.86 to £90.91 per ticket

Every year London hosts a St Patrick’s Day Parade on the Sunday closest to 17 March, which features spectacular pageantry, wonderful floats, marching bands from across the UK, sports clubs and Irish dancing schools. This year the Parade will make its way down Piccadilly at midday on Sunday 15 March, on a 1.5 mile route passing some of London most iconic Landmarks including The Ritz, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and onto Whitehall.

The free St Patrick’s Day Festival in Trafalgar Square on 15 March from 12pm until 6pm is a great chance to experience Irish culture with an artisan Irish food market, comedy and film festivals, children’s activities, ceilidhs, music and dance.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated across the capital, with parties in many London pubs and bars. Expect green decor, traditional Irish drinks and lots of fun! You might also find a special menu or two at London’s restaurants. Saint Patrick is one of the patron Saints of Ireland and the day is traditionally celebrated with a feast and a national holiday in Ireland.
