What’s on in London for October 2015


This month we welcome the American NFL to London . There will be 2 matches at Wembley and all the US razmataz will be in Trafalgar Square on each of the weekends to support the teams when they come to town. There’s lots of other Sport, music and Exhibitions to see if American football isn’t your thing. No. 1. 3rd October 2015 “NFL Fan Rally” at Trafalgar Square. The NFL Fan Rally returns to Trafalgar Square ahead of the first NFL International Series match between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. Taking place ahead of the match between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, the rally promises plenty of football fun with players, cheerleaders and NFL legends on hand to build the excitement. Get there early to secure a prime position for all the action. The event kicks off at 12 noon.

No. 2. 4th October 2015 “New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins – NFL International Series 2015” at Wembley Stadium. Don’t miss divisional rivals, the Miami Dolphins take on the NY Jets. The game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. Adult Ticket: £37.50 to £105.00 per ticket Child Ticket: £17.50 to £22.50 per ticket.

No. 3. 10th October 2015 “Africa on the Square ” in Trafalgar Square. Celebrate with music, dancing food and activities to enjoy. A free for all event, Africa on the Square is a festival of African culture and heritage, featuring live music, dance, fashion, entertainment, market, food and family workshops in the iconic setting of Trafalgar Square in Central London. Enjoy performances from African singers, drummers, acrobats and dancers, and there’s also the chance to experience food and fashion from around Africa at the food stands and catwalk. Africa on the Square is part of London’s Black History Month 2015.

No. 4.   11th October 2015 “Diwali in London 2015” in Trafalgar Square. Celebrate the festival of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with this fun-filled event. Every year, Trafalgar Square hosts a Diwali celebration that attracts thousands of people to Central London. This year’s packed programme includes traditional religious music contemporary Asian music and dance performed by professional Zee TV artists on the main stage, as well as food stalls where you can sample the best of Southeast Asian vegetarian cuisine, and a range of child-friendly activities. In addition to this main event in Trafalgar Square, there are smaller festivals and family Diwali events across London, as well as special menus in some London restaurants.

No.5. 16th to 18th October 2015 “The Chocolate Show” at Olympia. A tasty celebration of all things chocolate with tastings, live demonstrations, workshops and even a chocolate fashion show. Sample some of the tastiest sweet treats in the country and from across the world as the mouth-watering Chocolate Show returns to Olympia. This sumptuous celebration of confectionery boasts a range of top-drawer exhibitors, with the likes of Rococo, Hotel Chocolat, Divine, Marou, Willie’s Cacao and many more showing off their finest chocolate creations. Discover the secrets behind the chocolate-making process with Paul Wayne Gregory as he shows audiences how the sweet stuff can be manufactured at home. Visitors can also experience the Bean to Bar area, where artisan makers exhibit chocolate made straight from the bean. Youngsters can get their hands messy courtesy of the West End musical hit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by taking part in workshop events and getting up close to the famous Great Glass Elevator. Those who want a brief respite from the indulgence can visit the Healthy Chocolate Area, where there is plenty of information on the latest good-for-you chocolate trends. No.6.   21st till 25th October 2015 “Bob Dylan” at Royal Albert Hall. The legend is back in London. Love him or loath him he is one of the most influential song writer performer off the 20th century. Dylan will perform songs from his back catalogue and from his latest album, “Shadows In The Night”. Prices: Adult Ticket: £45.00 to £90.00 per ticket

No.7. 24th October 2015 “NFL on Regent Street “. The NFL returns to Regent Street with plenty of fun and games on the eve of the second of the 2015 NFL International Series games, between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Experience all the excitement of the NFL as one of London’s most famous streets closes to traffic between Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus. As well as interactive games, historical displays, performances by music acts and NFL cheerleaders, you’ll have the chance to see star players and head coaches from both teams take time out from their game preparation to appear on stage. More than 600,000 people have attended each of the previous two events, so wear your team jerseys with pride and celebrate ahead of the second of three 2015 International Series games at Wembley

No. 8 . 25th October 2015 “Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars – NFL International Series 2015” at Wembley Stadium. No.9.   31st October 2015 “Rugby World Cup 2015 Final” at Twickenham Stadium. London is set for a spectacular six weeks of rugby, hosting 17 matches, with the World Cup Final taking place at Twickenham Stadium on the 31st. No.10. 31st October 2015 “Regent Street Motor Show 2015” in Regent Street. Get up close to classic and futuristic vehicles, dating from pre 1905 up to the present day, as the largest free motor show in the UK, the Regent Street Motor Show takes over Regent Street. Regent Street will be closed to traffic from 10:30 until 16:00 as hundreds of vehicles, showcasing 125 years of motoring history, go on display in the famous shopping street. This interactive celebration of motoring is perfect for car enthusiasts and families, as well as shoppers looking for a fun distraction.
