Lots happening this month especially music and Theatre. The soccer season is in full swing, so if you want to see a match while you are in London now is your chance.

No 1. 1st September 2014 to 25th October 2014 ” Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games” at The London Palladium

See Irish dance star Michael Flatley in his final West End show.

Devised by the charismatic Flatley – the creative genius behind Riverdance and earlier Lord of the Dance tours – this highly anticipated show features Nadine Coyle, formerly of Girls Aloud. Playing The Goddess Erin, Coyle performs the compelling new title track, Dangerous Games. Using all of the familiar elements that made the original Lord of the Dance such a worldwide hit, audiences can expect the mesmerising synchronised choreography that has become Flatley’s trademark. With a fresh score from Gerard Fahy and the usual troupe of 40 outstanding dancers performing with the utmost precision, this truly spectacular show has lost none of its captivating magic. Cast performance schedule: Michael Flatley will not be in appearing in Matinee performances. Nadine Coyle will not be appearing in all performances. Full schedule is still to be confirmed.

No 2. 13th September “BBC Proms in the Park 2014” in Hyde Park, Hyde Park

Britain’s largest outdoor classical music event, returns with a wide-ranging line-up of top acts. This open-air concert is full of patriotism and British eccentricity, and has become a highlight of the BBC Proms calendar. Highlights of the 2014 line-up include Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, soprano Pumeza Matshikiza, Rufus Wainwright and multi-genre band Earth, Wind & Fire.

Radio 2 DJ Tony Blackburn will host the early evening entertainment, which includes Dhol Foundation and 20th Century Boy.

Sir Terry Wogan will host the main evening performance, when the park will link up with the event at the Royal Albert Hall for the traditional Last Night finale, which signals the end of the BBC Proms season. Tickets from £38.00

No. 3. 14th September 2014 “Cycling: Tour of Britain”

Line the streets of London to witness the UK’s biggest professional cycle race, the Tour of Britain. Starting in Liverpool on 7 September, the Tour will make its way to London where spectators can see the world’s top cyclists race on the streets of London. The day will include an individual 8.8-kilometre (5.47 miles) time trial, starting and finishing in the iconic location of Whitehall, as well as a final stage circuit race. This race will take in 10 laps of the city centre, which features world famous London landmarks such as the Tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament on its route. The circuit race has been previously won by Mark Cavendish, but last year’s champion Bradley Wiggins pulled on the leader’s jersey in Whitehall. In addition to the Tour of Britain stages, you can also look forward to Britain’s top female cyclists racing in the Westminster Grand Prix where Hannah Barnes was crowned 2013 champion.

No.4. 16th September 2014 to 1st November 2014 “Evita” at the Dominion Theatre

Catch the latest revival of the legendary musical. Starring Marti Pellow as Che and Madalena Alberto as Eva Peron, this new version of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s hit is limited to just 55 performances. The much loved musical tells the story of the life of Eva Peron, detailing her dramatic rise to power in Argentina. Covering everything from her early life through to her political career and her moving, untimely death, the powerful show pulls no punches in depicting the life story of a truly remarkable woman. Adding extra weight to an already compelling narrative are the Webber and Rice songs, tunes that have become iconic the world over. Featuring hits such as You Must Love Me, On This Night of a Thousand Stars and Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, this production hits exactly the right notes as it seamlessly blends showbiz glitz with powerful real life drama.

No.5. 17th September 2014 to 20th September 2014 “Mark Baldwin & Ladysmith Black Mambazo: INALA” at Sadler’s Wells

Celebrating 20 years of democracy in South Africa, INALA presents choral legends Ladysmith Black Mambazo, in an artistic collaboration with multi award winning choreographer Mark Baldwin and world class dancers including talent from the Royal Ballet and Rambert. An ambitious new production, INALA embraces an exhilarating fusion of South Africa and Western cultures live on stage. Four time Grammy award- winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo first rose to worldwide prominence with Paul Simon’s Graceland album . Energetic comedian Lee Evans is performing his latest side-splitting material.

N0. 8 . 27th September 2014 “Great River Race 2014” takes place on the Thames.

It attracts around 300 crews from all over the world. Every level of competitor can take part; from those who enjoy fun, fancy dress and charity stunts, to serious sportsmen and women who are in it to win it. Any traditional-style, coxed boat, propelled by a minimum of four oars or paddles, without sliding seats or riggers, may take part. The race is run over a challenging 21-mile course past many classic London landmarks. The Great River Race 2014 starts at Millwall Dock Slipway, London Docklands, at 12.40pm with the winner crossing the line at Ham House at approximately 3.40pm. The winners receive the Challenge Trophy of The Company of Watermen & Lightermen of The River Thames and become the UK Traditional Boat Champions.
