What’s on in London for September 2015


Loads happening this month especially with the music scene. It should also be a lot easier to go to Museums and exhibition’s as the queues should be shorter due to the kids being back at school. As usual listed below are our pick of the 10 best things to see and do . So Enjoy.

No. 1. 3rd September “Martha Reeves & The Vandellas” at Brooklyn Bowl London. 60’s American pop soul vocal group, famous for hits including Dancing In The Street, (Love Is Like A) Heat Wave, Nowhere To Run and Jimmy Mack. No. 2. 4th September “The Monkees” at Eventim Apollo. The American band sadly without the late Davey Jones and no Michael Nesmith but still featuring the other 2 remaining members, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork performing there classic hits. Prices: Adult Ticket: £43.50 to £66.00 per ticket

No. 3. 12th September “BBC Proms in the Park 2015” in Hyde Park. This event has become a highlight of the BBC Proms calendar. Get there early for the main evening performance, when the park will link up with the event at the Royal Albert Hall for the traditional Last Night finale. This open-air concert is full of patriotism and British eccentricity, and has become a highlight of the BBC Proms calendar. Soprano Danielle de Niese will take to the Hyde Park stage accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra under the baton of Richard Balcombe; while other top acts will be introduced by presenter Tony Blackburn – check back nearer the time for the full line-up. The main evening performance culminates in a live link-up with the event at the Royal Albert Hall for the traditional Last Night finale, which signals the end of the BBC Proms season. No. 4.   18th September to 31st October “Rugby World Cup 2015”. The Rugby World Cup 2015 is a nationwide tournament with 20 teams playing 48 matches in 13 venues across the UK. London is set for a spectacular six weeks of rugby, hosting 17 matches, with the World Cup Final taking place at Twickenham Stadium on 31 October 2015. No.5. 20th September “Brian Wilson” at The O2. The ex Beach Boy is back in London performing all his old hits with his own band covering all the old Beach Boys number one’s. I saw Brian a few years ago and can highly recommend the show, if you like Good Vibrations, God only knows and all the other hits that Brian has written over the years then you are go to love this.

No.6.   26th September 2014 to 4th October 2014 “Lee Evans” at The O2. Energetic comedian Lee Evans is performing his latest side-splitting material. Famous for his uncanny observations and hilarious delivery, Lee’s live performances are a must-see for comedy fans. The comedian’s tours and DVD releases year-on-year continue to smash sales and box office records. From 2002 to 2011, Lee performed to more than 1,605,000 people through his four live arena shows. No.7. 21st September “Art Garfunkel” at Royal Albert Hall. Grammy award-winning singer and poet, who is known as one half of folk duo Simon & Garfunkel, performs his solo material plus originals from his previous collaboration. Prices: Adult Ticket: £35.00 to £42.50 per ticket.

No. 8 . 24th September to 30th September “One Direction: On The Road Again Tour 2015” at The O2. The world’s biggest pop act One Direction returns home to perform their new number one album, “FOUR”. Tottenham have their top scorer Harry Kane ready to take on the might of Manchester City who on their day are one of the best teams in England.
