Harmony Cars Customers Top 10 London Hotels

Sightseeing2011 is coming to an end and listed below are the 10 most popular Hotels that where stayed in during 2011 by our customers.

This list does not show necessarily the 10 best Hotels in London , these Hotels  are just the ones that our clients frequented the most during the last 12 months.

1. Royal National Hotel, Royal , 1/55 Bedford Way At Russell Square WC1N 1DB

This is a very large budget Hotel. Located not far from Eurostar and Covent Garden. With room prices starting at approximately £100 a night.  Ideal to use as a base, but not the most luxurious Hotel This establishment was very popular with clients on a tight budget, and who wanted to spend most of their time and money exploring what London has to offer and not that bothered about the type of Hotel they stayed in. The Hotel itself is modern, clean, and busy. It  has 3 restaurants, a pub and lots of other facilities.  Overall this seemed to be popular mostly due to price, as it is one of the cheaper establishments in London. For the money it offers god value.

2.    Mayfair Hotel, Stratton Street, W1J 8LT.

This is a 5 star delux Hotel. Located in the heart of  Central London. This establishment was very popular with business clients and people who wanted to pamper themselves while in London. Often used by celebrities. Don’t be surprised to be greeted by Paparazzi photographers should you decide to stay here. Room prices start from approximately £350 per night. From clients comments this Hotel can be highly recommended.

3.    Royal Horseguards Hotel, 2 Whitehall Court | Westminster,  SW1A 2EJ

This is a small 5 star boutique hotel, located just round the corner from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey and only 5 minutes from Trafalgar Square. The Hotel was very popular with our clients, here for seminars and conferences and also for leisure breaks. This a fairly new Hotel and has a very traditional English feel. Rooms cost from £275 per night. This Hotel is well located for sightseeing and offers a very high standard of comfort.

4.    Sofitel Hotel, Waterloo Place, SW1Y 4AN

A 5 star luxury Hotel. Our clients that stayed here where usually here on holiday.  This is a real traditional English hotel where luxury and comfort go hand in hand . All our clients when asked said “they found this hotel a real pleasure to stay in”. Located just a little walk from Piccadilly Circus and also a short walk to Buckingham Palace. Prices for a room for the night start from £300.  Overall a Hotel that can be highly recommended especially for location and comfort.

5.     Park Plaza Westminster Bridge ,SE1 7RY

This Hotel is the only one that we can recommend by our clients that was south of the River Thames. The location of this Hotel is just across the river from The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and just along the road from the London Eye. This is a new Hotel opened just over a year ago so and is very modern, clean, and is cheaper than most Hotels on the North side of the river. For most clients the reason for staying here was price, and the fact that this is quite a luxurious 4 star Hotel that fitted there budget. Rooms cost per night approximately from £150. For a cheap 4 star Hotel in London this is fine but you do lose out on location to everything in central London such as shopping, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus and lots more.

6.     Grosvenor House AJ Marriott Hotel, Park ,W1K 7TN

This has been a place for our clients who wanted to be in one of the prime London locations. This Hotel is a very famous land mark in London and is considered one of the more prestigious Hotels to stay in. Earlier this year The American football team “Chicago Bears” stayed here when they played at Wembley, and we took one of their party to this property when we collected them they said that it was very comfortable and they enjoyed their stay. This is a large traditional English Hotel, which has been recently refurbished from top to bottom. All our clients that had stayed there, when asked all said they had a great time and would certainly come back. Room prices start from £200. Our opinion is that this is a truly luxurious hotel just down the street from The Dorchester and the London Hilton , and Hyde park faces the hotel, so its location is excellent and at room price’s from £200 this Hotel is a great choice.

7.   Metropolitan Hotel,19 Old Park Lane, W1K 1LB

This 5 star Hotel is popular with business, people, showbiz and tourists. In fact one of our clients who has used this Hotel in the past is an American Billionaire, so that gives you an idea of how high our clients rate this Hotel. The Hotel would best be described as exclusive, small and very comfortable. It is not one of the massive Hotels that share the proximity of this property. Next door to the Metropolitan is the London Hilton, The Four Seasons and just down the road is the Intercontinental. If you want trendy, special, personal, then this is the residence for you. Room prices start from £250. Our own view of this Hotel is that if you want to be in a location where there is a bit of a buzz and get the feeling of being treated that little bit special then this Hotel is for you. If you want quiet then look elsewhere.

8.   Hilton Metropole, 225 Edgware Road,  W2 1JU

This a large busy 4 star Hotel that seemed to appeal to a large variety of our clients. The location is what our clients said drew them to this residence and the price. Very close to Marble Arch , Oxford st and Hyde park. This Hotel is great for short shopping breaks, and for most of our clients the stay here was for only a few days stop over. When asking our clients what they thought of the Hotel most said it was comfortable but very crowded. Room prices start from £100 per night. Our opinion is that for the money its good value, but the comments our clients made about how busy it is may not suite you if you are looking for something a little quieter. The location is quite good as the underground railway is  quite near by, so if you want to visit other tourist attractions like Trafalgar square, etc, you have the benefit of the train. Also the London Shopping is just a 10 minute walk away.

9.    Intercontinental Hotel, One Hamilton place, W1J 7QY

This is a famous Hotel in London located very close to the London Hilton , Four Seasons, and Metropolitan. The majority of our clients who stayed here where business people, usually staying for just a few days. The Hotel is very modern in appearance although may be starting to look a little tired. However the location is excellent and from what our clients tell us the rooms are comfortable and clean. Room prices start from £250 per night. Our view is that this is not really a holiday hotel but ideal if you are staying in London for a short break and price wise quite good for a 5 star London Hotel.

10.   The W Hotel, 10 Wardour Street, Leicester Square, W1D 6QF

This 5 star Hotel is very new, however we have still had quite a few clients stay there. The W is a medium size Hotel with just over 190 rooms. Located just by Leicester Square and London’s China Town. What seems to make this Hotel the one to go to is its Central London location , its hip image (that most of the W Hotel’s have), and the modern sheik trendy look and atmosphere the Hotel endeavours to create. The clients we have spoken to who have stayed here all say what a great place to spend their vacation in. This Hotel is certainly aimed more at holiday makers than business people. Its central London position makes it ideal to walk around,  and being so close to everything , clubs , restaurants, shops, etc, you couldn’t ask for more. Room rates per night start from £275. Our view is that although it is located right in the heart of Theatres, clubs, restaurants, shops , etc , once inside your room you are transported into a tranquil , peaceful haven, away from all the noise and bustle of the busy London streets. A little more expensive than some of the other Hotels, but to feel the London street atmosphere right on your door step may be worth the extra pound or so.
