What’s on in London for October 2011

If you are coming to London this month here are our top ten recommended events for the month of October 2011.

No 1.     2nd October    The FA Premieship Tottenham Hotspur will be playing there arch rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane . This is considered the only real derby game in London. With both clubs just a couple of miles from each other the bitter rivalry goes back many years. For Tottenham fans beating Arsenal is like winning the league, so you can guarantee plenty of passion and determination from both teams. Who will come out victorious? It is to close to call. This is a 4 p.m. Kick off.

No 2.  14th  and the 15th October  Katy Perry is at the O2 Centre. She will be performing all her hits and tracks from her new album “Teenage Dream”

No. 3.   16th October is Diwali in London. Other wise known as the” Festival of Light” This festival is celebrated by Hindu , Sikh’s, and the Jain communities all over London. This year there will be a large event held in Trafalgar Square. With magical Light displays, floating lanterns, music, dance and storytelling. Diwali itself doesn’t actually happen till the 26th October but the London event takes place a little early.

No. 4.   21st to the 23rd October “The London International Technology Show at the Excel centre “.This event will showcasing computing, gaming, mobile, hardware, software, photography and much, much more. For tickets contact ticket office.

No.5.   23rd October For grid iron fans the NFL comes to London at Wembley Stadium. Buccaneers v Chicago Bears. Book quickly as last year this event was a complete sell out. Contact Wembley Stadium box office for tickets.

No.6.   27th October  The one and only Britney Spears comes to the O2 centre for her London leg of her “Femme Fatale” tour. If you are a Britney fan this is a show not to be missed.

N0. 7 .   28th to 30th October Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model Live at Excel centre. This is a great day out for the girls. Lots of stands with fashion, hair and beauty brand , with free treatments, including mini makeovers, manicures, and massages. Also learn all the tricks of the trade from top beauty therapists.

No.8.    28th to 29th October Freeze Festival. Held at London’s Battersea Power station. This is the UK’s biggest winter sports and  music event . Acts booked so far are The Streets, Everything Everything, The Joy Formidable, and headlining will be Groove Armada. Keep an eye out on the Freeze web site for further updates.

No.9.  29th October  Alice Cooper returns to London for a very special Halloween show at Alexander palace. Alice is bringing his Scary show back to London.

Supported by The New York Dolls. You will also get the chance to see Alices hand picked team of side show and freak acts. He will be playing all his classics Schools out, Poison, Elected and lots more.

No.10.   31st October  “ Halloween” . With its gloomy dungeons, real hauted   houses and its blood thirsty history, where better to spend Halloween than London.
